Involving QA in the early stage of SDLC is not just a best practice. It’s a game-changer for delivering quality software on time and within budget! https://lnkd.in/g6qecVcQ Requirement analysis is the foundation of a successful project in software development, whether it is Agile or Waterfall. But did you know that involving QA at this early stage can prevent costly issues in later stages? If they are involved in this requirement designing phase or analysis phase, they have higher chances to validate and complete the requirements by pointing out their views. If the particular requirement is not a completed one, then its respective changes have to be addressed later. Sometimes as change requests. As you know, all of these changes require additional budget. When the product owners work on the requirements, they will focus on how to bring the business needs as the requirements. Business analysts will focus on capturing all the requirements and developers will focus on how to implement it as software. When the test teams review requirements, they will focus on validating the requirements. Apart from the validation, they will identify necessary improvements that can complete the requirements.   As a simple example, if we consider a user login of a portal and let's say a particular business requirement comes as only the valid user should be able to log into the portal while others should be restricted, and if the company's password policy is not addressed via that business requirement and if it is catered via the test engineer's feedback then it becomes a complete requirement, right? If they don't have that chance, most probably it will be communicated as a system limitation in the later stage or it will be clarified with the business analyst or product owner while the developments are working on it. As you can see, more than one round of efforts of most of the stakeholders is required to fill that gap. So, when QA teams review requirements, they offer critical insights. By anticipating these changes early, they prevent defects from creeping into the design and development stages. This proactive approach saves time and resources.
